Quote by joiboidadoughboikyaa~~~~~! kawaii~~~~~! =3 makes me wanna hug her. nice vectoring. keeping it simple ^_^ i like the sketchy lines on the bag and for shading of the handles. "your very own laptop model of persocom" does that really make sense? *not sure* good color choice for words and background. everything fits well and sumomo's colors draw the eye.

>_< Thanks for the comment. But yea, I know there's something wrong with my grammar, but I just had the feeling that I need to put the term "persocom" in the sentence. Thsi is so embarassing... Maybe "PERSOCOM. Your very own laptop model." should sound better. What do you think? :)

Your signature is far too large and breaks the rule set out by the signature guidelines. It has been removed and please note that if you add another oversized signature you will be given an official warning.

Quote by DarkFate13I think this quote sums up all I have to say about this topic. "Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion." (Steven Weinberg, Physicist)

who exactly do you have in mind when you say "good people to do evil things, that takes religion"?

Sorry for the late reply as I had more pressing matters. My grieveances with all organized religions and those that administrate them are many and would take some time to explain so here is an excerpt from a paper I wrote a few years ago on the subject in order to expedite the process. But the main point is that "god's will" is easily perverted to fit the ambitions of those that have the power to abuse it and that people are easily manipulated when that institution tells them that if they don't follow they just might be next.

"The Bible tells us to be like God, and then on page after page it describes God as a mass murderer. This may be the single most important key to the political behavior of Western Civilization." (Robert Anton Wilson) Throughout history mankind has looked at this chaotic cesspool of a world and has yearned for someone or something to make sense of it. And thus man created God, an omnipotent being in the image of man, to give order and meaning to an anarchic futile existence. ("Religion in Society" by L.D. Howe) In time worship of these deities became organized and religion was created; they soon established a chain of command and those in power quickly abused their authority. They exploited the masses by placing ignorance and zealotry as some of its key values thus allowing them to order their followers do any number of senseless deeds without so much as a thought as to why they should. They deemed nonbelievers as less than human in order for the "faithful" to be more willing to take part in their persecution. ("Religion in Society" by L.D. Howe) It didnâ't take much time for the clergy of these religions to advocate the genocide and rape of nonbelievers for the purpose of either their extermination or forcible conversion, the result of which is the various crusades, inquisitions, and ethnic cleansings that plague history. This in turn has created a sadistic cycle of violence that has persisted throughout millennia in one form or another. (The Freethought Zone "Morality and Religionâ")

Hi there!

Well, thank you for opening up some threads. It's always nice to share some points of views.

By the way, I try to be a christian, even though most people who know me usually are surprised to know this. Being christian is not about going to the mass and being afraid of God, it's more about having hope, trying to be honest with yourself and others and finally recognizing what's great around you. But that's the same thing with quite a good deal of religions...

I must say, I feel honoured for having a reply on my reply jejejeje...^^ It's just I wanted to show you I care for deep questions like this.

Well, my best wishes for you, mellon ^^ Hope you be fine when reading this....may the stars shine upon you...take care....namarie...

Quote by joiboidadoughboithank you for your testimony and congratulations on returning safely! i also do not agree with everything all the different branches of Christianity say. i rather turn to the Bible or pray to God and listen for what He has to say about it.
my paternal grandmother and maternal grandfather recently went through surgery and my grandmother is still recovering from it. i hope i can follow your example and seek God for comfort and strength when the time comes and when anything happens, good or bad. thank you for sharing your experience!

Thank you, it was not easy admitting that I truly needed God in my life after being a non-believer for nearly three years.

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I do have some advice that may make this period easier for you. If you know the Serenity Prayer, say it as often as you wish during the day. I've found that repeating it over and over helps me destress and it's helped me accept things more gracefully than before. My mom taught me this little prayer after I "came back," as she puts it. If you don't know it, I could send it to you in a PM.

Quote by joiboidadoughboii suppose that is the whole point apologetics exists: to prove to intelligent non-Christians that Christianity is true. thank you. though i am rather interested in your opinion of the whole whether God exists or not

Well I don't believe in God myself, I want to know the truth and based on my current ability to reason and my knowledge that is a lack of theism. Feel free to PM me with your arguments for theism, I like to discuss it with anyone willing to (BTW, I'm an agnostic atheist). ^_^

And why did you write that you are six years old? 0_o

sorry but you'll have to wait while i study really hard before i can argue on the behalf for Christianity. when i can i'll answer you

Okay, that's fine with me. I don't need to study atheism so I'm ready whenever you are.

Just don't forget to PM me when you are ready. ^_~
